What are Globe7 Internet Phones?

How is the voice quality of Globe7?

Globe7 comes with unmatched voice quality to make your communication more pleasant. Globe7 application uses best Codec's which provide you excellent voice quality.

Can I use Globe7 from anywhere?

Yes. You can use Globe7 to make calls from any country to every country. Globe7 breaks all the geographical barriers and gets you connected throughout the world.

Can I receive more than one call at a time?

No. Currently Globe7 supports only one call at a time.

Can I use Globe7 to call emergency services (911 or E911)?

No. At present, Globe7 doesn't provide you this facility. We understand how essential emergency services are. We will try to incorporate this facility in the up coming version.

From where can I get extra talk time / Calling time?

You can get extra talk time from our online stores at http://usb.globe7.com/store.php

Can I use a firewall or a router?

If you would like to use a firewall, please keep the following port open:

UDP (in, out): Port 5060
If you use a router, activate 'Port forwarding'.

Will Globe7 work on private IP's also?

Yes. Globe7 works both on public and private IP's. It supports NAT (Network Address Translation)

What happens if I use in multiple systems?

The Software is meant only for globe7 USB phone, which is to be used in a single computer only. Wherever and whenever you are noticed using this software in any device other than Globe7 USB Phone, the company reserve its right to suspend the account.

What are the minimum system requirements for Globe7 WIPA?

Your PC should meet the following system requirements

Windows 2000 or XP

500 MHz prcessor and free USB1.1 or USB2.0 port

128 MB RAM and 200 MB free disk space

Internet connection (any broadband: cable/ ADSL)

Band width of 128 KBPS

What are the features available in Globe7 Wireless Internet Phone?

You can make calls to any PC having Globe7

You can make calls to any mobile/Landline

You can view the online status of buddies

You can navigate among the tabs - Phone, TV and My forest

What should I do when I am not able to work with Wireless Internet Phone?

Please check whether your PC meets minimum system requirements

Check whether Globe7's Wireless Internet Phone is properly connected and plugged to your PC

How to make a call?

Making call to Globe7 buddies

Click on the    button

Select the buddy (who is online)

Press the    button and get connected.

Making calls to PSTN/Mobiles

For International Calls:

Dial in this order:

00 + Country code + Regional code + Telephone number.
Ex: 00 91 44 254236545 and click     button


For US and Canada:

Dial in this order:
1 + Regional Code + Telephone Number.
Ex: 1 781 6132085 and click button

How to answer a call?

When you get a call to your Globe7, you hear the ringing sound,  'Call Alert' pops up on your PC allowing you either to ACCEPT or DENY the call.

Click the     button to answer thecall or     button to disconnect the call.

What are the Static messages available in Globe7 Wireless Phone and what do they mean?

Dialing  --  When you are dialing a number
Ringing  --  When the phone at the destination is ringing
Busy  --  When the destination is busy with some other call
Connected  --  When the call is connected
Call ended  --  When the call is disconnected
No response  --  When the user is not responding to the ring
Call held  --  When the call is held by destination
Incoming call  --  When you get a call from other side
Call error  --  When there is problem with call functionality
Call replaced  --  When the call is replaced

Why there is a bad communication?

It could be because of interference caused by other RF sources

It can be because you have crossed your proximity

It can be because of bandwidth fluctuations or low bandwidth

It can be because of improper connectivity

Does using the Wireless device affect my security in any way?

Globe7 is completely secure. Before installing any new software on your computer you should verify that it comes from a trusted source. Don't accept the software or devices from any other source.

What should be done if there is one-way communication ?

Please click on options --> settings on Globe7 application and select the Audio settings tab and ensure that Audio in and Audio Out are same (USB Audio Device)

What is the range of the device?

You can use Globe7 within 10 meters (approx. 33 feet) from the base connector. However the range may vary when you are using it in closed areas or between walls.

How can I check whether my Phone/Device is working properly or not?

Please make sure that the Phone/ Device is properly plugged-in. You can check the device by recording a voice and playing it.

How many characters can be used for a password?

Ten or fewer. It can be the combination of alpha-numeric and special characters. Please note that password is case sensitive.

What should I do if I forget the password?

Please visit http://usb.globe7.com/forgotpassword.php and enter your email address (Globe7 ID). The password will be sent to your email address directly

Why does it show "Invalid User Information" when I enter the email address to register Globe7 Wireless Internet Phone software?

If you are using a Globe7 soft phone then you must use a different email address to register a Globe7 Wireless Internet Phone account.

Why does it say "Invalid Device Number" or "Device Number already in use" during registration?

Most likely, it is because you did not enter WIPA as the first characters. The Device Number begins with WIPA, followed by 8 digits number. For example, WIPA00000000 is the correct format.

How do I activate the call forward function?

Please send request email to support@globe7.com to activate your call forward function for the first time.

How to buy a voucher?

Please visit http://usb.globe7.com/store.php to purchase vouchers for your Globe7 Wireless Internet Phone.

When will I get the voucher after the payment?

It will take 2 to 3 business days for you to receive a confirmation email together with your "recharge voucher number".

How do I recharge my Globe7 account while receiving the "recharge voucher number"?

Please login to Globe7 and go to "My Account", then "Account Details". An "Account Self-Care" window will open. Enter your Globe7 ID and Password, select the tab, “Recharge using voucher”, enter your recharge voucher number and click the "Recharge" button. Your Globe7 account will be recharged with the talk time you have purchased.

Why am I unable to save information into my Friend's List?

Please note that Friend's list is for existing Globe7 users. Friends who are not registered cannot be stored

How many entries can I save in the Buddy list?

The Friends list can accommodate up to 50 entries.

Why there is one-way communication while using my Globe7 Wireless Internet Phone?

Please go to Globe7 – "Options", and then "Settings", the Settings on the software should all be connected to "USB Audio Device".

Where can I download the updated software for Globe7 Wireless Internet Phone?

When there is an updated version for Globe7 Internet phone, the installer will automatically update the software by itself.

Why is my call cut off during conversation?

Globe7 has set call time to 30 minutes. This is to protect you from using up minutes if you leave your phone connected accidentally

What do the symbols mean on the Globe7 handset?

If it shows Globe7 symbol, it is working fine. If it shows the USB symbol, it means the base station is not plugged into the PC properly. If there are any other symbols, you are not signed in.

Can I use Globe7 Wireless Phone on another computer?

Yes, of course! But first you must install the Globe7 application (from the Globe7 application CD) on the computer where you wish to use them. Since you already have an account registered with Globe7, you can use the same account to make calls without registering again on different computer.
